One of the most potent antiseptics known. Clove essential oil is a strong analgesic and alleviates muscle and skeletal pain. It aids the immune system due to its strong antiviral, antiseptic and bactericide properties. As a parasiticide, it clears the digestive system.

Europeans doctors once breathed through clove-filled leather beaks to ward off the plague. Modern dental preparations contain clove essential oil, or its main constituent, eugenol, to numb toothache and teething pain and to stop infection.
It is also a potent germ-fighter and anti-fungal for other conditions, such as flu, colds, bronchitis, and athlete's foot. The essential oil give heat to a liniment, helping relieve muscle and arthritic pain.
Researchers found that sniffing the spicy aroma reduces drowsiness, irritability, and headaches, assists memory recall , and increases circulation. This powerful essential oil also has the ability to abate depression, relieve indigestion, and contribute to sexual stimulations. According to a study at the University of Iowa, compounds in clove oil have shown "strong activity" against bacteria associated with plaque formation and gum disease

SAFETY CAUTIONS: Do not use when pregnant. All clove oil can cause skin and mucous membrane irritation; clove bud may cause dermatitis. Use in moderation only, in low dilution (less than 1 per cent.) because it is one of the hot, powerful spice oils.
BLENDS WELL WITH: Benzoin, eucalyptus, cinnamon, black pepper, ginger

Warnings
- Never mix more than 3 oils in any one treatment as the synergistic effects are less predictable.

- Essential Oils are for the use of adults only unless specifically indicated for use on children/infants.
- Never exceed a maximum of 1-3% solution of essential oil to base oil. Approximately 25 drops of essential oil in 50ml of base oil should be used.
